2011 Bow and Bird Camp registration
Following the Blood TrailIt’s not too late to sign up for the Northern Lights CSF Bow (and Bird) Camp scheduled for October 13-16.
For the second year in a row, Bow Camp can be found in the Pigeon River Country State Forest, southeast of Wolverine. Sportsmen are expected to provide their own hunting and camping equipment. However, there may be limited opportunities for a few without a tent, to bunk in the big “wall tent”.
As in the past, dinner will be organized by CSF. Campers should be prepared to provide their own breakfast and trail lunch.
Help will be available to those who need assistance in scouting out a good location and erecting their tree stand or ground blind.
For the first time, this year, a nearby portion of the Pigeon River will be open to year-round fishing. So, bring your spinning gear, or fly fishing rod, too . . . just in case you fill your deer tag early!
Men and Boys are Invited I guess next year, we’ll have to call this the Bow-Bird-Trout Camp, hmmmm.
A collection will be taken to cover the cost of the food. Other than that, there are no other charges.
The activity is open to all boys and men. There is no need to be affiliated with CSF or any particular church to participate. Young hunters need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
