Family Camping Weekend
Join us for a weekend of family campingAugust 7-9 is a weekend of fishing, camping and canoeing fun in the upper peninsula.
The “Higher Ground Chapter” of CSF (Petoskey, Charlevoix, Boyne City and north) has extended an invitation to the Northern Lights Chapter (Wolverine to Cheboygan), to take part in a weekend of outdoor fun and Christian fellowship. Home base for the weekend of activities will be the Three Lakes Campground, just north of Trout Lake in the U.P.
This is a family-oriented event. And, you’ll need to provide your own camping, fishing and canoe/kayak equipment. Fellowship will be provided by everyone.
The cost for the weekend is $30 per family, and includes camp registration fees and two gourmet dinners. Fellowship around the evening campfire is included at no additional charge. Breakfasts and lunches are “on your own.”
Contact person for the event is Randy Walker of Alanson. For more details, contact Randy at 231-838-1597. The caravan will depart from the K of C Hall in Petoskey at 6pm on Friday. However, I’m sure Randy is open to “picking you up” along the way (Alanson, Mackinaw City, etc.), so you can join the caravan. Be sure to make those arrangements directly with Randy.
In order to make campsite reservations, Randy needs a definite commitment from participants by July 19.
