We will be backpacking through woods famous for our elk herd, paralleling the pristine Pigeon River, resting near secret sink holes and taking a late night stroll to enjoy the wonders of God’s creation.

Meet: Indian River Medical Clinic (behind the Dairy Queen) at 5 pm
Thursday August 13.
Return: 5 pm Saturday, August 16

This event is for men and boys 12 and older. This is a challenging hiking trip you must carry everything: food, water, shelter, sleeping bag etc. We will be hiking several miles each day!

Cost is $15.00 for each participant this is to cover camping fees, gas and first night’s meal.

Equipment: Good hiking boots, bathing suit, long pants, weather appropriate clothing, sleeping bag (light weight), and a small tent. Mosquito repellant, camera, toilet paper and whatever else you are willing to carry.
Every 10 pounds extra is the equivalent of 60,000 pounds at the end of the day.

Food: I will bring food for Thursday night. You need to bring food and cooking/ cleaning utensils for Friday breakfast, lunch, dinner. Saturday: breakfast, lunch. Bring about 1-2 liters of water each. We will have 1 or 2 places to fill up on Friday and Saturday.

What else: You need to bring an adventurous heart, willing feet, and a forgiving spirit. No bad attitudes are allowed.
